The Company was foundet in 1874.

Since then VOBE has itself firmly established as a supplier of components made from massiv beech wood to the furniture- and mattress industries, but also to tool manufacturers.

VOBE uses high quality beech wood which grows in the hills surrounding the river Weser. The wood is sawn in the company´s own mill to thicknesses ranging from 17 to 65 mm and then brought to the large timber yard (stored volume ca. 6 - 7 m³). After a drying period of 12 months the timber may be further treated in the electronically controlled drying facility, if necessary.

The present product variety includes planed and drilled mouldings and ledges and other parts for the furniture- and mattress industries, all made to order.

In addition, VOBE produces grips and handles for tool manufacturers, also made to order.
A speciality of the company are ovally shaped wooden handles for tools.
